The Art Centre hosts the culturally and
traditionally strong creation stories of the
Lajamanu people. The artists are committed to
transferring culture to younger members of the
community and have a strong connection with
the students in the education system. Regular
sessions are held to promote this. Warnayaka Art Centre
is located in Lajamanu on the northern fringe of the
Tanami Desert. In the past Lajamanu art has been
exhibited world wide. It is strong in culture an all
Indigenous committee governing the operation of the
newly incorporated art centre.
Open 8:30 – 12.30 Monday – Friday. At other times by
appointment. All visitors require permits. Please phone to
organize prior to visit.
