Located in the old Batchelor Health Clinic,
Batchelor Institute’s Coomalie Cultural Centre
was officially opened in 1999 and was
refurbished as a gallery and retail outlet in
2001. It has four main areas of activity:
Exhibitions, Retail sales, an Artist in Residence
Programme and a student learning resource. This broad
range of activities are usually conducted at the Batchelor
Campus but are occasionally held at other BIITE
campuses and in partnership with Indigenous
communities. Centre visitors include tourists en route to
Litchfield National Park and education sector visitors to
the Institute.
