MAC promotes the work of more that 700
artists from the Maningrida region. Bark
paintings, wooden and fibre sculptures, fibre
items, prints, and works in bronze and
aluminium, are created by Maningrida artists.
Maningrida art is heterogeneous, dynamic and
innovative, reflecting the diversity of languages and
cultures present in the region. MAC and the Djomi
Museum are located in Maningrida and twice daily
flights are available from Darwin
All visitors require permits, which can be obtained through the
NLC. Intending visitors must notify MAC prior to lodging their
permit application.
