MAC promotes the work of more that 700 artists from the Maningrida region. Bark paintings, wooden and fibre sculptures, fibre items, prints, and works in bronze and aluminium, are created by Maningrida artists. Maningrida art is heterogeneous, dynamic and innovative, reflecting the diversity of languages and cultures present in the region. MAC and the Djomi Museum are located in Maningrida and twice daily flights are available from Darwin All visitors require permits, which can be obtained through the NLC. Intending visitors must notify MAC prior to lodging their permit application.
