Stone Country Festival
The community of Gunbalanya (Oenpelli) in western Arnhem Land invites you to join us for the 2010 STONE COUNTRY FESTIVAL. This much anticipated event is scheduled for 28 August 2010. On this day visitors are welcome to come to the community without a permit and share in the many and diverse activities taking place. This includes the local sports carnival, rock art tours, cultural dancing, basketball games, scenic flights, bush tucker samples, and didgeridoo playing demonstrations plus visits to the local community art centre (Injalak Arts and Crafts). Local bands will headline the days musical festivities. Painting and fibre art demonstrations will take place at the local art centre all day. The Stone Country Festival is a day not to miss.

Walking with Spirits Festival
Presented by Djilpin Arts in partnership with the Australian Shakespeare Company, WALKING WITH SPIRITS is Beswick Community’s annual open cultural celebration. Held 20 kms from the Community at the spectacular wilderness location Malkgulumbu, WALKING WITH SPIRITS features traditional corroborree from several Arnhem Land languages together with songs and stories told in dance, music, puppetry, fire and film. Initiated by the community in 2002, WALKING WITH SPIRITS is held every year. Visitors are invited to camp for the weekend in this spectacular lakeside setting, open to the public only once a year.

Garma Festival
The 12th Garma Festival – Australia's leading cultural exchange event – will be held from 6-10 August 2010 at Gulkula, North East Arnhem Land, NT.

Garma is a nationally significant, intimate, spectacular celebration of cultural traditions and practices – dance, song, music, and art (including presentations, collaborations, sales) – and the annual venue for a major Key Forum on Indigenous issues.

|urru\u Yol\uwu\ Mala Dj^mapuy
A group exhibition from Gapuwiyak (Lake Evella), East Arnhem Land
The newest Indigenous culture centre in the Northern Territory will exhibit fine paintings, yidaki (didgeridoo), sculpture and the beautiful and renowned fibre art of the region. Artworks from around twenty artists including the 2010 National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art Awards finalist, Dolly Dhimburra Bidingal, will be featured.

Artists will be on-hand to demonstrate their skills and answer questions from the public 10:00am – 12:00pm on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th August.

The exhibition aptly titled |urru\u Yol\uwu\ Mala Dj^mapuy (Gapuwiyak Culture and Arts First Exhibition) – will be officially opened by the local MLA and NT Minister for Indigenous Development, Malarndirri McCarthy, with artists from Gapuwiyak, at 1:15 pm, Friday 13 August.
